Where can I find the Captain?
Restaurant De Kapitein is located at Boelijn 70, look for directions on our contact page.
When are you open?
April, May, September and October:
Friday 16:00 – 22:00, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 – 22:00 and on request
June to August:
Thursday to Sunday (12:00 – 22:00)
November to March:
On request
Are you easily accessible?
Our restaurant is easy to reach by car, bike, bus and boat. You park your car free next to our restaurant.
Can I store my bike with you?
You can easily park your bike in front of our restaurant.
How do I reach the Captain by public transport?
Bus 6 runs from Almere Centrum station and stops within 8 minutes at bus stop Noorderplassen Zuid, a 3-minute walk from our restaurant.
For how many people can I book packages?
Our restaurant has within 60 seats. We can serve groups of up to 100 people in our restaurant. Our terrace offers space for another 150 people. The boat capacity is up to 230 people simultaneously.
Can we see the location in advance?
Of course! We are open Friday to Sunday from 12:00 – 22:00, then be sure to stop by to view the location. Of course you can always take a look at the terrace if you find it better for you at another time, then you just peek through the windows
Do children get a discount?
Children up to the age of 12 generally eat less than adults, so we charge half the price for this. We would like to hear the exact number of adults and children in advance, so that we can include this in the preparation.
Can I reach you by boat?
Yes! You put the boat at the jetty, directly at our restaurant.
How can I make a reservation for a party, drink or other occasion?
Via the contact page you can easily pass on your wishes to us and we will contact you. For last-minute requests within 3 days, we advise you to call or send us a WhatsApp message.
Do you also have vegetarian dishes?
Naturally! Our menu and packages have several vegetarian and vegan dishes. Indicate in the reservation form how many vegetarian or vegan dishes will be eaten.
Do you also offer group outings?
Certainly, we offer fully catered group outings in collaboration with grotesloep.nl. Various water activities with different speeds are possible.
Can we order a picnic basket for the boat?
Good choice, we totally understand! We have various packages on the boats, from luxury lunch and snacks to a full tapas or barbecue on board. With the packages you can read what exactly is in an arrangement and what it costs.
